Savana has long proven itself as the Professional Grade full-size van that can easily accommodate up to 15 passengers, or an enormous load of cargo. For 2008, Savana Passenger Vans come equipped with even more - the enhanced peace of mind provided by a series of new standard safety features, including the StabiliTrak™ electronic stability control system, head curtain side-impact air bags** and a tire pressure monitoring system. And there's additional reassurance from the fact that all Savana Vans are backed by the best coverage in Canada: the GM $0 deductible 5 year/160,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty,† in addition to 5 year/160,000 km Courtesy Transportation and Roadside Assistance.† The full-size van engineered for the demands you place on it: GMC Savana Passenger and Cargo Vans.
The hauling capacity of Savana Cargo Vans is colossal. The cargo bay measures 3658 mm (12') on long wheelbase models, providing 8972 L (316.8 cu. ft.) of space. Payloads range all the way up to 1881 kg (4147 lb.). The three side access panels of the available Savana Pro Package make loading and unloading your cargo that much easier.
A lateral skid can be an unnerving and potentially dangerous situation. Fortunately, every Savana Passenger Van features the enhanced driver control of StabiliTrak. When it detects a lateral skid, it intervenes automatically by applying brake pressure at the appropriate wheel or wheels, helping you return to your intended direction. Four-wheel ABS is also standard.
Savana's redesigned instrument panel sports a fresh new look. It includes a new Driver Information Centre that monitors everything from average fuel economy to the percentage of oil life remaining. There are also two new premium sound systems, including an available in-dash 6-disc CD changer with MP3 playback compatibility and iPod® audio input jack.
What's the saying? - In parts of Canada, you can experience all four seasons in one day. That's why Savana 1500 models offer the enhanced traction of available all-wheel drive (AWD). This segment-exclusive†† full-time, single-speed AWD system normally operates in a 35/65 front/rear torque split. When wheel slippage occurs, additional torque is transferred to the axle with the best grip.
