Powerful Performance
Envoy is a willing performer, with a choice of 2 proven truck engines. Envoy SLE and SLT models feature a 4.2L Vortec I-6 that produces 285 hp and 276 lb.-ft. of torque. Envoy Denali moves the needle significantly higher, with a standard 5.3L Vortec V8 that puts out 300 hp and a generous 321 lb.-ft. of torque - enough for a maximum trailer rating of 2949 kg (6500 lb.).
Traction For Action
For 2008, every Envoy and Envoy Denali includes the extra surefootedness of standard Autotrac 4-wheel drive. In addition to the traditional 4-Hi, 4-Lo and 2-Hi operating modes, Autotrac includes an "Auto" mode in which the system monitors for wheelspin and automatically distributes engine torque as required.
Year-Round Comfort
Envoy has what it takes to keep you and your passengers comfortable, no matter what season it may be. A dual-zone heating and air conditioning system is standard on every model. Envoy SLT and Denali go even further, with automatic climate control and heated front bucket seats that take the sting out of cold winter mornings.

Advanced Air Bags
Envoy's long list of safety features includes frontal air bags equipped with a Passenger Sensing System. If the system detects a child or small adult in the front passenger seat, it automatically reduces the force of air bag deployment to help prevent injury. For 2008, roof-mounted head curtain air bags that protect both front and rear outboard occupants are also standard on every model.
